Beth Ann will continue to offer interactive online Zoom classes, with registration directly through this website starting in May or June 2022. You do not need to be a local to join in. 🙂

How Zoom classes from Beth Ann will work:
â—Ź You do not need to have a Zoom account to participate in a Zoom class.
â—Ź You can register and pay for Zoom classes securely online.
â—Ź A link to the class supply list will be available below each class description.
â—Ź You must supply a current email address when you sign up so that Beth Ann will be able to send out an invitation to join the class, as well as any class handouts.
â—Ź Beth Ann will email the invitation links to join the class approximately 24 hours in advance. Class fees are nonrefundable unless Beth Ann cancels or reschedules the class.
â—Ź If you are new to Zoom, please check into the class 10-15 minutes ahead of time and follow the prompts to set up your audio and video.
Zoom classes seem to work best when used with Google Chrome; if you currently use a different browser, you find it helpful to download the (free) Google Chrome browser for use with Zoom.

Easy and Effective Machine Quilting with a Walking Foot

Learn from the comfort of your own home! Join this beginner-friendly hands-on zoom class with author and designer Beth Ann Williams, featuring a mix of live instruction and Q&A, up-close photography, and video clips showing the techniques in action. Together we’ll make a set of swatches that you’ll be able to refer to for inspiration whenever you wonder “How can I quilt this?” Go beyond quilting in-the-ditch and discover fast, fun, and deceptively easy ways to complement piecing, enhance a focal area, and create a variety of textures, all while machine quilting with a walking foot.

Free-Motion Quilting Quick-Start 1

Are you interested in free-motion quilting, but need a boost to get going? Join Beth Ann for a brand-new hands-on introductory class designed to do just that. We’ll start with a few basic patterning styles that you can use right away, and then explore how you can build on them as your confidence grows. This Zoom class will feature video clips and up-close photography, along with live instruction and Q&A.

Free-Motion Quilting Quick-Start 2: Crescents, Swirls, Flowers & Leaves

Do you have the basics, but want to expand your skills? This hands-on class is designed to build on the Free-Motion Quick-Start 1 class. We’ll start with variations of crescents, spirals, and swirls, and then branch into stylized organic shapes like flowers and leaves.
Intermediate, $30 – builds on previous class.

Color Tools & Color Confidence
with Beth Ann Williams

Learn to combine fabrics more confidently in this Zoom class with author & designer Beth Ann Williams. Unlock the secrets of color harmonies (predicting which colors and fabrics will play well together), designing with relative values, troubleshooting, and creating quilts that sparkle.
Class will include a mix of live instruction and Q&A, up close photographs of an updated trunk show of blocks and quilts, and printable handouts and OPTIONAL exercises you can do along with Beth Ann to put the principles into practice.

Confetti Quilt or Table Runner

This EASY fat-quarter & scrap-friendly 60” x 60” quilt from Tied with a Ribbon (pattern purchase required) can also be resized to a pillow, baby quilt or table runner – or to a larger quilt! No special ruler needed to create the kite shape. OmbrĂ© options will be included in the class.
Week 1: Finalizing project size, fabric selection and arrangement (we’ll explore ombrĂ© options as well as scrappy), plus marking the base squares and cutting.
Week 2: Making the blocks.
Week 3: Assembling the quilt blocks and suggestions for quilting.
